Friends of Greenville Theatre,
We appreciate your patience and support during this complicated time. After careful thought, conversation, and deliberation, we have made decisions surrounding our reopening.
In order to protect you and ourselves, we now believe it’s in everyone's best interest to postpone our programming until January of 2021. The show will go on, but for now, it must pause, and during this time our hearts are with all of the artists whose life's work and passions lie in producing theatre.
Please read the information below carefully and thoroughly, as we have tried to address all possible scenarios. If you have a unique situation or notice something we missed, please let us know.
The revised 2020-2021 season is as follows:
Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End • January 14 – 24, 2021
Guys and Dolls • March 5 – 21, 2021
A Flea in Her Ear • April 15 – 25, 2021
Mamma Mia! • June 4 – 27, 2021
The revised Concerts and Special Events schedule is as follows:

Celebrate 95 GALA • May 2
Celebrate 95 – Show Only • May 6 – 9, 2021
Information for Ticket Holders about Rescheduled Performances
For mainstage shows that have been rescheduled:
Your tickets are in our system. If you previously made seat selections, you will need to re-select your dates and seats, but not yet. We apologize for the inconvenience. No action is required at this time.
For mainstage shows that have not been rescheduled:
If you have tickets to a show that has not been rescheduled or is not yet available for reservation, your tickets will remain in our system and will still be valid when those shows are published as on sale. This includes both season and single tickets. No action is required at this time.
Current 2020-2021 season ticket holders:
Your tickets to The Hound of the Baskervilles and Elf that were originally included in the schedule will remain in our system and will still be valid when those shows are produced in the 2021-2022 season. If you previously made seat selections, you will need to re-select your dates and seats, but not yet. No action is required at this time.
Previous 2019-2020 season ticket holders:
The Dixie Swim Club and The Producers have been rescheduled for 2021. Your tickets to those shows will remain in our system and will still be valid when they are rescheduled. No action is required at this time.
Current concerts and special events ticket holders:
Your tickets will automatically transfer to the corresponding date of the rescheduled performance. For example, if you had tickets for the first Saturday of a run, you will have the first Saturday of the new run. You will have the same seats as your original ticket purchase. You can change the date and seats if your new date doesn’t work for you by calling or emailing the box office any time prior to the performance. No action is required at this time.
If you are happy with the above options, do nothing!
If not, the following other options are available.
Donate your tickets. By donating your tickets, you will help lessen the financial impact from this time of shutdown, and you will help keep our staff employed during the closure.
Request a refund for the 2020-2021 season. Please note that we are operating with limited staff who are working limited hours and that it may take several weeks before we can process your refund. Refunds are not available for the 2019-2020 season or for concerts, as that deadline has passed.
You must let us know by October 30, 2020, if you would like either of these other options. After October 30, 2020, the automatic options as described above will go into effect. We will not issue any refunds after October 30, 2020, as it is very important that we have the budget set for our reopening in January.
By taking the time to read and understand these procedures, you are ensuring a smooth transition into our reopening! Thank you for your help.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to develop the safest environment for our patrons.
Stay healthy, we look forward to seeing our Greenville Theatre family soon!
