Greenville Theatre Resident Actors are a group of young professional artists in residence at the theatre. They strive to grow as actors on the daily basis, and bring the highest standard of professionalism to every rehearsal and performance. Resident Actors tour a Theatre for Young Audiences production each year to elementary schools throughout Upstate and beyond, bringing high quality, professional theatre to students of all backgrounds. They also perform a holiday show for young audiences, as well as play roles on the main stage alongside other prominent community actors.
In addition to performing, Resident Actors have a variety of responsibilities at the theatre. These may include working in the box office, scene shop, costume shop and are responsible for clean-up and set-up for shows. Greenville Theatre Resident Actors must be extremely hard workers. The hours are long, and the days off can be few and far between, but the rewards are great. Resident Actors are contracted from July through June of each year.
The 2019-2020 Resident Company has been cast.
