About the Position: Greenville Theatre is seeking a qualified Box Office Assistant to help with our ticketing operations. This role will focus on providing a friendly, helpful, and welcoming experience to all patrons at Greenville Theatre. This detail-oriented position requires excellent organizational skills, professional communication skills with clients of all levels, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. The ideal candidate leads with kindness and generosity, enjoys guest relations, and has experience in various ticketing software systems. 

Greenville Theatre’s Box Office is open Monday-Friday, 11am-4pm. This position will work part-time during the week as well as varied performance weekends. This will range from 12-16+ hours a week, pending performance schedule. Four guaranteed weeks off a year for the Holiday Season (end of December/early January) and summer break (end of June/beginning of July), in addition to nationally recognized Holidays.

Salary: $12/Hour


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet all Greenville Theatre patrons with kindness, respect, and a helpful attitude

  • Process customer purchases using Spektrix ticketing software for tickets and subscriptions over the telephone and in person

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of and stay current on all events at Greenville Theatre

  • Will be responsible for the opening and closing of the Box Office, when applicable, and to manage the Box Office before, during, and after specified performances

  • Any additional duties as assigned 

Skills/Experience required:

  • Ability to engage in positive interactions with guests and staff, prioritize, organize, problem solve, delegate, follow-up, communicate and diffuse different situations with grace

  • Experience in customer service, ticketing sales and/or clerical work experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work daytime hours in addition to evenings and weekends when required

  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to work under pressure to meet guidelines and customer needs
